In my role as a Content Manager for The Sims Franchise, I identified a chance to support the Design team in producing assets for the Franchise I collaborated with daily. This not only enhanced the workflow through direct engagement with Cross-Functional colleagues, but also provided an avenue for me to pursue my passion for learning design.
The Process
Under the guidance of the Experience Design team, I contributed in producing over 20 responsive web assets for The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile updates, ranging from July 2019 to May 2021. Throughout this journey, I acquainted myself with a variety of design software, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, and Figma. Moreover, I gained insights into upholding brand guidelines, managing layout restrictions, and crafting a smooth responsive web experience.
The Results
My involvement not only eased the burden on the Design team and enhanced the cooperation between the teams, but also deepened my comprehension of the link between design assets and our content management system (Adobe Experience Manager), and ultimately, what factors were essential to deliver a superior live webpage experience to players around the world.
